Data Security
| Data Security is very important to us, as I am sure it is to you. We take a high degree of security seriously when dealing with your expired equipment. All equipment that may contain personal data is held in a secure location until our two part security process can be applied. When the equipment is ready to be processed, the first thing done is to reformat ( complete Zero Write) the drive to get rid of all information in a basic manor. At this point the hard drive is now removed from the unit and placed in secure holding for the second part of the security process. Once enough drives are ready for the second round, all drives are removed from the secured area by Idahoster personnel and are sorted for either re-use or recycling.
If the unit is to be re-used, all drives are attached to our drive erasing machine and put through a single pass ‘0′ writing method. For drives that come from sensitive sources, we also offer a three or seven pass method for an additional charge that is based on DoD and NSA recommendations. After this scrubbing the drives are labled as processed and repackaged for sale. If the drives are not to be re-used, either because of being to old or damaged, they are placed into a holding area where they await shipment to a recycling shredder. Some of our clients request that we actually physically destroy the drives. In such cases the hard drives are damaged far beyond repair and put in the holding area for drives destined to be shredded. |

School Collection
We offer a very special program for all schools. Working with schools and school districts is our primary business, and we focus very hard on providing the best e-waste solutions for your district. We currently work with many school districts all over the west, mostly here in Washington and Idaho. We can offer pickup services, or if you prefer you can also deliver the e-waste to our processing facility in Spokane, WA. This will provide even further savings in handling your e-waste problems.
We also offer a very special pricing program for schools of all types. We strive to help all school districts save money as we understand the sometimes intensive costs of properly recycling your hazardous E-Waste.
